Meet our Pastor

Father Edward Wal
Born September 24, 1954 in Zagorzany, Poland. Schooling: Elementary school in Zagorzany; High School in Biecz; Seminary in Tarnow. Ordained May 24, 1979. Was a priest for 11 years in various parishes throughout the diocese of Tarnow, Poland.

From 1971 – 1997 he was in the missions in Huancavelica, Peru. Upon coming to the United States he was assigned to St. Cecelia’s Parish in Clearwater, FL working primarily with the Spanish community for ten years. Fr. Wal was then assigned to St. Francis Xavier Cabrini Parish and St. Theresa Parish in Spring Hill.

On July 1st, 2011 Fr. Wal became the Pastor of Transfiguration Catholic Church.
